About

Dear Friends:

This blog is dedicated to the business side of repatriation.  It’s an area that is often overlooked as industry topics tend to be more clinical or operational in nature.  The repatriation industry is made of multiple stakeholders all of which are necessary to get sick/injured persons from point A to B.  These stakeholders include air ambulance companies, medical escorts, assistance companies, professional security firms, cost containment companies, HEMS operators, funeral directors and many more.  These niche industries are often dominated by a few legacy companies and individuals.  Because of this public information can be hard to come by.  My posts are an attempt to generate dialogue and uncover trends, statistics, best practice and meaningful information for new and old stakeholders.  I’ve spent the majority of my professional career interacting with repatriation companies and believe there’s valuable information to be shared.

Your participation on this blog is welcome and encouraged.  Feel free to share your thoughts and experience.  You may post comments publicly or anonymously but either way, please post in the spirit of the blog, i.e. by promoting/sharing information that helps make the market a better place.  Comments and/or suggestions are always welcome for new posts.

My best,

Aaron Hawkins
